Capitol Police requested an extension of National Guard support at the U.S. Capitol on Thursday for two more months.
A Pentagon official confirmed to American Military News on Thursday that the DOD received the request and is currently reviewing it.
Rep. Elissa Slotkin announced the extension late Thursday morning in a series of tweets. “I am hearing from contacts at the National Guard that the U.S. Capitol Police have asked for a 60-day extension of the Guard’s mission in and around the Capitol, and that the Guard is soliciting states to send contributions,” she said.
The current National Guard support mission at the U.S. Capitol was set to end on March 12.

Yep. To me though there is one last caveat that the founders put in place that they foreseen for situations like this and it just may save us: They had the military swear an oath to support and defend the constitution from not only foreign but DOMESTIC enemies as well, first and foremost before taking orders from even from the president.
This is not a choice they can make, this is a requirement, this is what they swore to do and all they have to do is stand down, offer zero protection and give these domestic enemies a decision: Either they stop the attack on the constitution or face the public.
Although people were killed, the storming of the Capital was a good thing although I’m sure many conservatives would disagree with me. It sent the message to these domestic enemies like Pelosi that her BS will not be tolerated. This is why she has a fence around the capital and the national guard, she’s freakin out, and the further her and the Biden occupation go the more pressure she is going to feel. She damn well knows the military at any time can follow their oath which is why she demanded those that guard the Capital be canvassed beforehand. This year is going to be crazy.
