“McNeil chaperoned a group of high schoolers on a trip to Peru to learn about rural health care”
Shouldn’t those kids have graduated from Med School or a School of Public Health before going on a tour of Peruvian rural Health Care?
How did they have any grounding in what they were about to see? Did they do any research/doumentation?
I can see any number of ProgParents thinking this was a good idea.
What kind of HS kid wanted to this with summer?
Just take them to Appalachia.
Oh wait, those are white Americans, they don’t count.
When I was in high school a local church youth ministry sent students to rural Peru to give vaccinations to villagers. I was offered a spot to go but bailed after the first training session.
