He was never asked to decertify anything. He was asked to temporarily set aside certain Electors until their states had a chance to investigate the massive fraud they were unearthing. State legislatures had written him urgently to postpone counting Electors for about a week to ten days.

Article II of the Constitution gives all power to state legislators over matters dealing with their Electors.

During the postponement,
Trump lawyers were set to present to Congress the evidence of fraud and rigging by the CCP and others.

That is total nonsense. The VP has no such power. The Constitution is very clear he *shall* count the the Electoral votes presented. That’s it. That other stuff is a completely made up fabricated power.

The State Legislatures had power before their states electors were sent to be counted to certify different slates. They did not. Nothing the VP has any authority or role to do. A letter written by a handful of legislators is not an official action, nor is it a motion on the floor to rule on Electors during the meeting, nor is it a competing slate of Electors.

It is pure ignorance and embarrassing to keep arguing the VP had these powers, roles, and authorities. They don’t exist.
