Dissidents have been warning us for years about the nature of China's communist totalitarian regime.
But unlike a lot of them, the dictatorship also has money and markets.
In the West, that means quisling defenders, many with a snoot in the trough.
So here comes a pitched curve ball for China's clapping seals, according to the South China Morning Post:
A Chinese court has upheld a ruling that a textbook description of homosexuality as "a psychological disorder" was not a factual error but merely an "academic view".
The Chinese LGBT community, and the 24-year-old woman who filed the lawsuit, have expressed disappointment at the decision, handed down last week by the Suqian Intermediate People's Court in the eastern province of Jiangsu.
Ou Jiayong, who also uses the name Xixi, said the court's decision about what constituted a "factual error" was "random and baseless".
In 2016, during her first year of study at the South China Agricultural University in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, Xixi came across a psychology textbook that described being gay as a mental disorder.
The 2013 edition of Mental Health Education for College Students, published by Jinan University Press, listed homosexuality under "common psychosexual disorders" — along with cross-dressing and fetishism. It stated that homosexuality "was believed to be a disruption of love and sex or perversion of the sex partner".
In China, that "academic view" pretty much permits the state to do whatever it wants to anyone who might be homosexual or gay. In the eyes of the state, they're mentally ill, see, and the totalitarians running the show there are all benevolent, wanting only the best for the worker ant collective.

Yup, as a person who lived in that side of the world for a while, unlike the West they have no white guilt nor can be shamed about what they believe in.
Well, even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
Sounds to me like a distinction without a difference.
I somewhat agree, but I compare it to a physical defect like losing a leg as opposed to an illness like the Flu or TB.
We tend to accept people with missing limbs, but we don’t just “accept” having cancer. However, I mean that in one strict sense: We don’t consider losing a limb to be a thing to be desired, and we certainly don’t accept people choosing to cut one off.
However, the analogy doesn’t work regarding how they should be treated or accepted. Rather, I just see it as something different from a simple illness. It is a defect that may or may not be repairable, depending on the person. For starters, the person has to WANT TO repair it.
But again, I’m using the analogy regarding how we should treat this defect. We certainly can’t call it “normal”, since it speaks against why sex exists in the first place.

American leftists believe they are the “pure” revolutionaries while the damned Soviets were nationalists (ptui ptui) who betrayed Marx (and jew-haters too you know).
They have a similar view of “Maoist” revisionaries (ptui ptui ptui).
In a Soviet or Chinese world American leftists would join the intellectuals in purifying labor in the fields.

So what’s your answer to my 64k question, because at the end of the day that’s what it boils down to.

My answer is this:
Tolerating it is the Christian thing to do. Beyond that, nope. God tolerates sin in all of us. But I won’t tolerate sins like murder, rape, robbery, etc. And I certainly won’t call same sex marriage “marriage”. It isn’t. I call it what it is and I “tolerate” it in the same way I “tolerate” other people buying x-rated movies. They are adults. Only in Muslim countries to the religious try to control the behavior of those outside their belief system.
Whatever will the China loving rats do?
What an absolute dilemma for them!
My answer is, the level of acceptance and glorifying homesexualy that we currently have in this country is a big negative. It’s destroying the basic unit of society, the family, and bastatdizing the language beyond recognition, and in the process creating a very totalitarian society where you are coersed to call two guys getting together “marriage”, a man can be a wife, a woman a husband and passing rules in the house of representative forbidding the reference to mother, father, aunt, uncle and many other gendered words.
It’s gotten to the point where it isn’t the homos that have the mental issues, but the rest of society (us) who tolerate and even celebrate these insanities.
Nothing I disagree with there.
I said, over 20 years ago, that the push to “leave them alone” would eventually become a push to accept it. And here we are. I’ll leave them alone, like I’ll leave a guy alone that is hiring hookers. But don’t try to convince me that it is ok. It’s not.
Every once in a while even China is right!!!
