They like making money off the masses without actually having to do anything or be responsible for anything, whilst still getting invites to DC cocktail parties.

I am unimpressed by the Republican Party these days, but I DO look at individuals separately...I don’t put everyone in the same box...

Isn’t HB1 unconstitutional? Are many of these matters not the prerogatives of the states? Or does the constitution not mean anything anymore? Don’t answer that.

Yes. He is the worst type of enemy. talks a great game then stabs you in the back. He can have difference of opinion on issues which is fine but when election was obviously rigged he voted to step on us.

Why did Jimmy Boy vote to accept the election results?

“It doesn’t matter if all the Republicans in the world vote against it..the Demoncrats are in control and like Obama care they will pass it without any Republicans.”

There is still a filibuster in the Senate, and if the Republicans don’t make full use of it while it is available, then they are even more cowardly, and more captured by the inside-the-Beltway mentality, than I had imagined. This bill is aimed DIRECTLY at ALL Republicans - it is nothing less than a means of solidifying and guaranteeing that the Dems have large majorities in both Houses, forever.

Sorry, gonna answer anyway.

Our only hope (outside of armed insurrection) is to delay this as long as possible, take it to SCOTUS and hope now that bad orange man is gone, enough Justices will become reacquainted with the Constitution.

I see Jim Jordan as the real leader of the House Republicans. He is much better than that McCarthy guy.

Your eyes are not deceiving you.

Jordan claimed in October that Democrats were working to steal the election and spoke at a “Stop the Steal” rally in Pennsylvania two days after the election. In December, he said he didn’t know how he could be convinced that “Trump didn’t actually win” the election. Jordan also objected to the electoral college results and called for an investigation into the election.

Jim Jordan repeatedly refuses to say Biden fairly won election.

On November 18, Jordan called for Congress to investigate the election “amid troubling reports of irregularities and improprieties”.

President Donald Trump has awarded Ohio Republican Jim Jordan the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest US civilian honour, after he continued to object to the certification of the 2020 elections after a violent pro-Trump mob attacked the Capitol.

The congressman was awarded the medal during a closed-door ceremony at the White House on Monday. Members of the press were not invited to document the event.

Mr Jordan has been one of the president’s strongest allies on Capitol Hill, continuing to object to his electoral defeat last week as other Republicans who previously contested the results withdrew their support as a result of the deadly riots.
Mr Jordan, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, was one of eight House lawmakers who were part of Mr Trump’s defence team in his Senate impeachment trial last year.

He’s been one of the more outspoken defenders of the president as Mr Trump faced the prospect of being impeached for a second time in his final days of office because of his actions prior to the mob assault on the Capitol last week, which some have claimed encouraged the rioters.

I still do not understand why people like McCarthy, McConnel, Graham, et al, don’t finally stand up and support the conservative cause.

From your link...

“(e) Ability Of Replacement Systems To Administer Ranked Choice Elections.—To the greatest extent practicable, an eligible State which receives a grant to replace a voting system under this section shall ensure that the replacement system is capable of administering a system of ranked choice voting under which each voter shall rank the candidates for the office in the order of the voter’s preference.”

I think the Demoncrats are already making a move to abolish the filibuster rule so they can pass any thing they want.
