and how far away are we from this dystopian science fiction? Pretty far maybe but only because we have completely blown past that level of insanity. It’s quite disgusting.

I remember the time when I first read “Harrison Bergeron”. My Third Grade teacher assigned the story to the reading group to which I belonged.

The story scared the crap out of us. I remember thinking to myself, “Thank goodness that will never happen.”.

Boy, was I wrong. The “Harrison Bergeron” and “1984” dystopian nightmares are racing toward us at a frightening speed.
