The footage looks like something out of a how-to video on stopping a robber.
In it, a man wearing a blue hoodie and jeans crosses the street with the victim's blue suitcase and backpack in tow. Within seconds, he drops the suitcase and tries to enter the getaway car — shown in the video as a gray Chevy Impala with the license plates 5ZZN552.

California law defines petty theft as the theft of any property with a value of $950 or less. Most petty thefts are charged as misdemeanors, which carry a sentence of up to six months in county jail, a fine of no more than $1,000, or both.
So no one bothers to report any theft with a value of less than $950,
Shazam over night, the crime rate drops like Biden at about 4pm.
This is not theft. It is robbery. There is a difference.
Chaka Boudin (sp, DA) may well decide to prosecute the victim, for whacking the hoodie dude’s car. It takes coin to keep a get away car in prime condition.

My understanding is SF Police are no longer enforcing the law for minor crimes like this. If what is being stolen is $950 or less, the police will take no action. People are stealing stuff out of stores all day long because they know law enforcement will do nothing.

According to SF Gate, 5% of SF population is black. They did not bother to mention the rate of crime by black folks in SF, likely somewhat higher than 5%.

Wife watched two white females waltz into Safeway a few weeks ago, went right up to the cases of beer, liberated a couple of them, turned around and walked out the door.
No one followed. Employees all saw it, just kept doin’ what they doin’.
She said the girls never stopped chatting with each other, didn’t even look around, just dropped in for some supplies. Sauntered right on out.
My brother-in-law working at Walgreen's in SF experienced daily shoplifting by blacks. Yes, all by blacks. If he even looked at them, they'd get in his face and call him racist, even though his buddies are black. He even got punched in the face once. Management did nothing. He finally retired in 2020, couldn't take the abuse any more. Crime in SF is getting worse, although the fake statistics say otherwise (because they allow crimes under $950).
Unreal, of COURSE it’s a hate crime, not the fact that the guy is probably freakin’ nuts and has been arrested and let out 9 billion times thanks to democraps “no bail” insanity. I got into this the other day with the race flamers on Twitter, AOCs page matter of fact where they were claiming Asians are being singled out not the fact that EVERYBODY is a victim in NYC right now because the city is a HELL HOLE thanks to DEMOCRATS, but DEMOCRATS still can’t get off their Trump addiction so ANY attack on an Asian is a “hate crime” and it’s all because of the pandemic and all because Trump called the pandemic the “China virus”. It’s ALL his fault! Meanwhile none of them talk about the no bail insanity or the defund and tie the hands of cops.

According to the video linked below, "Why San Francisco Is SO BAD Now", if employees do ANYTHING to stop the theft, or even speak to the thieves, they risk being fired.
If the police are called, they will eventually show up to create a report. San Francisco cops are big on reports.
