Those tax returns are so complex that the news media would have no idea what they mean. Do you think that anybody in the news media could explain the Alternative Minimum Tax and tax preference items? Do they know what a capital loss carryover is? Do they know what a capital loss is? Do you remember when the news media got their hands on Trump’s illegally obtained tax return and reported that he paid only $700 in income taxes? They did not show the entire tax return showing the amount of Alternative Minimum tax paid.
They don’t care what the tax returns mean. All they need is an indication that he is doing business in Russia, China, etc. and they can and will claim anything they want.
