Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving isn’t afraid to speak his mind. And like many others across the league, Irving wants to see change when it comes to the NBA logo. Los Angeles Lakers legend Jerry West has been the symbol of the league since 1969, but Irving believes that the league should do whatever it takes to make the late Kobe Bryant the new logo. "Gotta Happen," Irving wrote on his Instagram. "Idc what anyone says. BLACK KINGS BUILT THE LEAGUE."
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban told TMZ Sports that he’s on board with changing the NBA logo to Bryant. He said that he "would support it."
"I just think it's so much more than basketball," Cuban told TMZ. "He brought so many people together."
Even though West is considered to be the NBA’s logo, the league never admitted that it featured a specific player. Sources familiar with the league told Yahoo Sports that there is no interest in having an individual player as its logo because there are so many who have been instrumental in the growth of the NBA.

Where’s the sacred diversity?????
Yeah, black kings built the league, just like they built America. That’s because the slave traders always picked the best and brightest to capture and send over here.
This has Obama written all over it.
The man was, up until just recently, a flat earther ..... just saying....maybe what he says doesnt really matter.
Don’t sound to me like that Negro is embracing “Inclusion”.
Change the logo to MalcomX for all I care. Means nothing to me. Your obsession with race is meaningless to me.

Racism is being propagated and promoted by the demonrats throughout all facets of this country! A time will come...
I think you mean Kyrie is a racist. Kobe is dead.
WE WUZ KANGZ!
Bkmk
Let 'em add a maple leaf to each backboard, eh?
Over the past 20 years...what’s really memorable over the NBA? Everything worth chatting about occurred from early 70s to late 90s.
If you offered up a cable channel which replayed every game from the 1986 Celtics season...I’d pick that over other sports networks of today.
they didn’t build it, or even create an audience for it. But, same as football, blacks did take advantage of Affirmative Action to make millions playing the game as virtue-signaling sponsors outbid each other to pay megabucks for endorsements as part of social postering ‘reparations’. With the grand altruistic idea being these athletes would recycle some of that pile of cash into improving their communities - an idea that didn’t quite work out that way as athletes quickly gained a reputation for squandering their new-gotten wealth on extravagant lifestyles and vices.
If they are going to change it, put Jordan on it, just make sure his tongue is sticking out.
.....Derek Hunter this morning, on another thread, used the term “stupidity politics” referring to The Left in general.
I think that term fits the NBA hierarchy like a glove. Like California, they won’t be satisfied until they’ve killed the goose that lays the golden eggs.
LOL. I wasn’t aware that Jerry West was a Black King. Who knew.
