The Donor Class wants cheap labor (illegals/H1Bs) and benefits from Deep State favors. A Republican has a hard time getting re-elected without donor support. The interests of the Donor Class are very different from the interests of working/middle-class Republicans.
The unique thing about Trump is that he didn't need the Donor Class. That's why the Establishment hated and feared him.
