Confirmed: Donald Trump Is Speaking at CPAC

The 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) will be held in Florida this year. A spokesperson for CPAC confirmed on Saturday that former President Trump will once again be a keynote speaker at the event.

A spokesperson for CPAC confirmed to the New York Post that the former president is expected to speak at the conservative conference on Sunday, Feb. 28. It is expected to be Trump's first public appearance since leaving office.

Trump has spoken at the annual conference numerous times in the past.

In 2011, Trump told the crowd of conservative activists what he would do if he ever ran for president and won the election.

"If I run and if I win, this country will be respected again," said Trump in 2011.

That year, the celebrity star of "The Apprentice" delivered a pro-business and anti-foreign aid message.

As president, Trump spoke before the conference every year of his four-year term. In 2019, President Trump delivered a two-hour speech at CPAC in what became the longest speech of his presidency.

While campaigning for the White House, Trump skipped CPAC in 2016, breaking a streak of annual appearances Trump made before the conference.

CPAC 2021 will be hosted at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Florida. CPAC was moved this year in order to avoid lockdown restrictions in Maryland, where the annual event is traditionally held.

The event will run from Thursday, Feb. 25 to Sunday, Feb. 28. Among the long list of prominent conservatives scheduled to speak at the event are Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

I think we need a party that starts within the GOP but grows enough over time to replace it.

Just starting a third party, Ross Perot style, is a guaranteed loser.

A lot of us share that view. Every time I think of McConnell I get this bitter taste in many mouth and when I spit it out it burns holes in the pavement.

I agree with you, but we also need a MAGA wing in the DNC. DINOs that can be bipartisan with good republicans. Think ‘gang of eight’ who like America.

Except we can’t afford to split our power right now.

You want to talk about losers, look what the Uniparty (R) has done to us since Perot. Since the GOP ran Trump out of town, I don’t consider DJT Republican. I, as a conservative, have had everything swindled away from me by the Uniparty (R and D). I’ve got nothing left to lose by not voting Uniparty. Do you think by continuing to vote GOP, you might get Uniparty police state light. Is that prospect enough for you?

No—you completely miss my point.

Look at how the Conservative Party works with the GOP in NY. That is one of the few areas where a candidate can be on the ballot for multipple parties (with their tottal votes added together).

The effect of that is that the CP helps to pull the GOP to the right. That IMo is what should have ben done with the tea party back several cycles ago, though thwy moatly wouldn’t have a separate line on the ballot. Inatead they ahould have formwd a full, local to atate level party apparatus that worked within the GOP. E.g., they would choose who within the GOP to endorse during thw primary season at thwir own conventions. Then they woulld work as a team to get those candidates to win their GOP primaries. (No splitting of the actual MAGA/constitutionalist vote with multiple candidates in a primary.) And, at the same time they would be working to get their chosen reps in the GOP party apparatus. Only after creating and well using thia apparatus for a few cycles *might* the new party become ready to break off as a competitive, new national party against the Dem communists—if necessary. Anything else would just help the Dem communist technocrats keep their firm grip. Of course, all this is academic if we can’t get legit electi9ns again. That needs to be an immediate priority.

The CP pulled the Uniparty (R) to the right long enough to elect Trump. The GOP then realized Trump was a real threat to the DS. The GOP working in conjunction with the Uniparty (D) ran Trump out of town on a rail. Conservatives are NOT and WILL NOT be in position to move the Uniparty (R) back to the right again. Five MAGA senators who have the key to a ruling coalition will indeed pull the Uniparty (R), kicking and screaming, back towards our position. The Uniparty (D) is doing just fine with 48 senators. This is one conservative who will never again be played for a stooge by the Uniparty (R). I’m a conservative constitutionalist and will vote accordingly.

Do you still not get it? The Conservative Party in NY is an actual party.

We haven’t had something like that on a national level organizing our influence on the GOP.

And I too want to replace the GOP, but starting cold without a proven national apparatus won’t lead to success. We need to build a national organization, and until it is ready to stand on its own, do so first as an instrument to control the GOP.

“Trump-Noem!”

OK, but I think Trump-DeSantis is the ticket. IMHO

I’ve been a registered Republican since 1989.

I found the Republican candidates in 2004,2008,& 2012 completely unacceptable. So I voted for the Libertarian candidates instead of Bush, McCain, and Romney. Many people found Kerry and Obama so toxic, that voting the alternative was a “no-brainer.” I chose to “cut bait” but I don’t have anything bad to say about people who didn’t.

If Trump stays in the Republican Party, then I’m staying too. The time to be a crybaby and start a 3rd Party, was in the 2004-2016 time period. Not after Trump got cheated in 2020.

The American establishment would just move their people into any viable 3rd party anyway. The 3rd party would become the 2nd party.

The establishment doesn’t care if you’re a Federalist, Democrat, Republican, Whig, Know Nothing, Greenback, Populist, Socialist, Communist, Abolitionist, Anti-Masonic, Libertarian, Green, Constitution or Patriot Party. They only care about “what price you can be bought.”

Trump can say he is a Republican all he wants. The Republican Party said, no you’re not and threw his ass out of DC. For the last five years he has had zero power or sway within the national GOP. You expect that to change now? The only influence he will have in the Uniparty (R) will come from Trump leveraging a third party. If Trump continues to be played by the Uniparty (R) he is not the answer. Trump blew it by trusting GOP advice and getting screwed EVERY TIME he did. He had the opportunity to change Washington but deferred to the same DS hacks he’s talking to now.

I’m betting he goes off script and triggers suicide weekend and finally kicks off the return to Presidency...and I don’t mean 2024. I mean now.

DeSantis doesn’t like Trump.

So don’t see that happening.
