Lowering the flag for civilians including radio personalities and celebrities or school children is flat out WRONG because it CHEAPENS the meaning of the gesture itself and is demeaning to the SIGNIFICANCE of the death of our great military heroes.
Rush was a pioneer. One of the greatest conservatives of our time but I don't think our flag should be lowered for celebrities, sorry.
Flag should be lowered for MILITARY and heads of State, ONLY.

Well, Rush was a Presidential Medal of Freedom Recipient, so, there is that.
Rush was a great supporter of our military in ways he kept very private. He well deserves such an honor.....and I’m certain our military would agree..... All warriors don’t wear uniforms.
