The man’s whole life is perception. He is a politician, and that means he lives and dies in the public eye. That means you get in front of a major issue and start controlling the narrative.
Let me give you another example. I was working on a project were there was a major accident. It was in the middle of the night, and when we informed the project major he went back to bed. Nothing for him to do since the plant blew up.
He was fired by the end of the week. Mainly because when the disaster happened, he went back to sleep.
The disaster happened, Ted went on vacation. Right or wrong, that will not play well.
