Maybe to some extent, but mainly it’s the other way around. Does the GOPe, including McConnell, understand that Turtle’s bony ass wouldn’t be in Senate chambers now if not for PDJT strongly endorsing him?
And as far as the three new SCOTUS judges who were installed, it just seems like a monumental feint organized by McConnell. They have not been stellar or especially conservative by any means.

They have not been stellar or especially conservative by any means.For the most part, it was the Left calling them "conservatives" - because the Left thinks of the Court as a policy-making body, which it shouldn't be. The new Justices are originalists and textualists, which doesn't always align with the policy outcomes desired by conservatives.
