It’s been a long day without you, my friend
And I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again
We’ve come a long way from where we began
Oh, I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again
When I see you again
What a week. Still mourning the loss of my elderly mom on Monday, then hit with the news of Rush.
As with many here, Rush was an icon. He articulated what so many of us thought, but couldn’t say. He gave voice to the anxieties, hopes and ideas held by many who felt they could not fight against the inexorable decline of western civilization. And he did so with a variably charming humour and bitingly sarcastic wit. He laid the groundwork for what would become the Trump Revolution.
My Mount Rushmore of conservative icons includes Sir Edmund Burke, Ronald Reagan, Rush Limbaugh, and President Donald J. Trump
