Rush had a sense of timing that always seemed inhuman. I suppose it comes from his years of honing that skill but listening to his 20-something “Jeff Christy” oldies spots he seemed to have been born with it (something Bannon could definitely use some practice on). Perhaps Tony Snow had that too...Steyn and Mike Rowe are two that come to mind now. Both witty and have the timing down. One element that drew and cemented Limbaugh’s audience, as he described it, was the two years he spent building it through public appearances every weekend and his TV show. Even after listening since 1988, I still have yet to figure out how he made the time to learn and retain so much information....any subject and he was able to reflect on an aspect even the experts had not considered. I love Levin (don’t care much for Hannity), but Rush fan till I die. Amazing talent, and an amazing human being.

Rush knew what he wanted since he was eight years old,few have such longing desires at that age.
Everyone else on the radio took their lead from someone else. Rush was the creator of modern conservative talk radio. He made it up, used it, tweaked it, and than honed his radio skills so well that he could do radio at the highest of levels without hearing a sound. I could not imagine doing talk radio if I was deaf. For Those who have never done three hours behind a mike, it's an experience. No one knew the process as well as Rush did.
