I guess I’ll be keeping my 4Runner for a few more years.
Good plan.
:)
Horrible confession story:
We were thinking of baying a friend’s 4Runner and took it out for a spin.
It was registered to him so I was not connected to it, and I decided to go have a look at the Forbidden Zone up at the “phone company” on the mountain.
Got up to the “Use of deadly force” signs when a vehicle came blasting down the road towards us.
I did a 3 point hauling ass turn and took off back down the road.
The truck driver was not as familiar with the wilderness area as I am and I swung up a dirt rut road and floored it.
In my side view mirror, I saw him miss the “road” and watched him go on down the mountain, hunting for me.
We kept going through the brush and ended up alongside Rattle Run, where the granfather I never met was shot in the back for running ‘shine.
Half a mile later, on the other side of the ridge was a hunt club sign.
Crawled over the deadfalls in the ruts and popped out on the other side of the mountain.
Bought the 4Runner the next day.
:D
