It’s not even close to the America it once was. We also are too old to leave — but still research possibilities (Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica). I wouldn’t be surprised if my nephew with three little girls is considering leaving.

My prediction is that they will use a variation of “parallel construction”. They will know who they trust and who they do not trust—and will look for excuses to arrest those they do not trust on other charges—while looking the other way at the same offenses for “trusted citizens”.
They could also secretly “blacklist” untrusted citizens to keep them from being employed in big corporate or government white collar jobs.
The vaccine is a de facto “obedience test”.
The legal system and courts would never know the difference.
Notice that this works regardless of the merits of the vaccine—everyone becomes rats in a maze that they don’t know is there.
Disconnect sheeple from one another with lockdowns (minimize chatter) and anonymize them with masks (makes snitching easier).
Then, require Covid tracing apps (so you are tracked forever after). Then require ImmuniPass cards to enter businesses, schools and events (to ensure you get your dose of whatever is in the vaccine).
Then, fiscally control, disarm and herd the proles into their work precincts, leaving prime real estate only for state/business elites.

Our daughter’s family is considering it. It’s too bad that so many foreign countries don’t allow gun ownership or make it very difficult. It’s just sad. I remember how the USA once was. I never dreamed it would turn to socialism and “get whitey” attacks.

Sounds a little like the “chemo brain” my friend described to me. Sounds like it affects different people in many different ways.
I just got off the phone with my friend who’s 80. She’s in great shape, hikes 10 miles a couple times a week — a force of nature. She got her first shot this week. When she got home she was so exhausted she took a nap, which she NEVER does. She slept for three hours, got up and felt “wonderful”.
If everyone gets one that wants one, I’m happy taking my chances by NOT getting one.
Why? Because if everyone gets one that wants one, and it’s as safe as the government says, then either the people in my sphere will not get it, and thus I won’t, or if I get it, I can’t give it to anyone in my sphere.
So, no. I will not be getting any vaccine from the government. When I was in the Navy, I had no choice, as I had literally signed away my life and decisions to them. I’m 50, well out of the military, and thus, get to make my own decisions.
I’ll succumb to lead poisoning before getting this, or any other, vaccine.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a dedicated “Anti-Vaxxer”, per se. I believe that smallpox, Polio and other vaccines were a blessing. The aforementioned diseases were horrible diseases and the vaccines were a godsend.
The same applies to the Anthrax vaccine. Better to risk the vaccine than to contract that deadly disease.
As for the Corona virus, the survival rate is incredibly high. It’s not a disease.
I believe that the WuFlu vaccines were rushed out too quickly and are unnecessary and unproven.
The totalitarians state that even if one takes the vaccine, they will still have to wear the face diapers, so why even bother??

You know what else I hear being talked about a great deal...digital identity theft. People will be eager to have a system to protect themselves from that. They are already paying for identity theft insurance. People will be relieved to know that through the Mark of the Beast technology access to their home/car/office/bank or market accounts/tax records/medical records/etc. will be more secure.
It won’t apply to them of the political class. It only applies to second class citizens and below.
