They aren’t adding witnesses they are adding a charge after they closed their case.
Trump’s conversation after the fact isn’t relevant to the incitement charge.
Are the American people so stupid they will breathlessly hang on the words of each witness and each vote to allow or deny each further witness? Boring.

Meaning only witnesses serving the Democrats’ purposes will be allowed to testify.
