Jason Miller, a senior adviser to former President Donald Trump's 2020 campaign tweeted on Saturday that a Gab account with a blue checkmark attributed to Trump is a "fake account."
Newsmax reported Friday that Trump had returned to social media for the first time since he was banned from Twitter and Facebook last month, posting a letter from his attorney to House impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., on his Gab account.
The posting Thursday night appeared to be a response to Raskin’s letter requesting Trump appear and testify at the scheduled Senate impeachment trial scheduled to begin on Jan. 9.
The entire post was an image of the terse three-sentence note from attorney David Schoen, which mocked Raskin and the trial.
"We are in receipt of your latest public relations stunt,'' the letter begins. ''As you certainly know, there is no such thing as a negative inference in this unconstitutional proceeding.
''Your letter only confirms what is known to everyone: you cannot prove your allegations against 45th President of the United States, who is now a private citizen.
''The use of our Constitution to bring a purported impeachment proceeding is much too serious to try to play these games.''

Surely there has got to a way to ensure the accounts that are set up are NOT fake accounts, or bots. Can someone speak to this?

Everything is fake now. This is all directed towards us too while they sit back and take their laugh. They really think we are stupid, stupid, stupid. We often prove them right. Sooner or later this will turn around though because they are undermining their foundation of sand.

Mr. Torba said not. He would know. People started internet gossip because Torba posted a Trump letter to an account set aside for the President because the authentic letter was not being discussed anywhere else. Trump’s old tweets were already saved there.
No one ASKED Gab about it.

We will go on the record stating that we know 100% for a fact that Jared Kushner is actively trying to keep Trump off Gab and has been for weeks. Because Gab is the only safe place left for conservatives that means Kushner is trying to keep Trump off the Internet.

I get that the account is a mirrored archive of Trump's tweets but it should not be given a blue checkmark until Trump himself decides to start actively using it. Also that letter from Thursday night had no place there as it was not a Trump Tweet (he's been banned from there since Jan 8).

They’ve been quite open about the reserved Trump account. It’s his right now, if he wants it. They’ve reposted all the Twitter history, and this item, so it’s not like they’re posting stuff that isn’t his. As far as I’m concerned, they’re providing a useful service. Newsmax are ignorant morons is the real issue here.
Pretty much. Especially after Newsmax shouted down and screamed at Mike Lindell and repeated fake news lies about the elections not being stolen.
