Rep. Marjorie Greene (R-Ga.) said the (Republicans) who voted to strip her of committee posts on Feb. 4 committed a “big betrayal” and may cost the GOP the House majority in the 2022 election.
“There were 10 that voted for impeachment against President [Donald] Trump and they definitely paid the price. They heard from Republican voters. There were 11 that voted against me yesterday and that’s something that our leaders should be very upset about,” Greene told reporters during a press conference on Capitol Hill on Friday.
i’m not up on all the info about Green... but this headline makes me think that someone has some serious illusions of grandeur here...
The GOP died on the 6th of January. Everything that happens after that date in congress is moot.
There is NO recovery by the GOP from this one.
I’m wondering about consequences for betrayal. Is it possible the states who ended up with a betrayer could form groups to start a recall of them? Teams could blanket a state with petitions to sign and show up at every event. We need to work at restoring our country. Thankfully our state has no betrayers AFAIK. We need a list of them so we can go to help out in states who don’t have any who need to be removed.
Those 11 are the exact same 11 that voted against Trump.
