I pay enough attention to know that for short trips it's not uncommon for the President to use one of the 757s. It's about 100 miles from Andrews to Wilmington. There were times when Trump used the smaller plan to get to some of his rallies. Here's a story talking about one time he took it to Cincinnati.
No they fly on AF1. The one we all identify with. So if you aren’t really the President they don’t let you on AF1.
Then why was the airplane referred to as Air Force One for the Biden flight? As you pointed out, any Air Force airplane the President is on is called Air Force One. Biden took Marine One to Andrews and Air Force One home.
