While I may be wrong, I would guess the backdrop to that photo is Fire Island off Long Island. Along the very long, narrow island, there are many towns where there is no road for automobiles, only boardwalks for pedestrians or light vehicles that can travel on sidewalks. While the vast majority of Fire Island resort homes are owned or rented by non-homosexuals, there are two hamlets on the Island that have a homosexual majority or near-majority population (run-down low brow Cherry Grove and fancy schmancy Fire Island Pines) — which give Fire Island its reputation as a gay Mecca. I would bet dollars to donuts he is in one of those places. Or he could be somewhere in the Hamptons, which has similar topography but is accessible by roads. Of course there’s also Martha’s Vineyard and Provincetown and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware as possible sites.
