I grew up in Alabama in coal mining country. I didn’t work in them, but I know all about them. Kamala Harris is a blooming idiot. For every 100 miners losing their job, maybe 1 will be retained to “reclaim” these mines. That job will take less than 2 years.

My Dad was involved in research on improved methods of strip mine reclamation — biological means of soil stabilization, neutralization of toxic soils and waste, and so on. The end result of his and many other people’s work was places like this, the largest State Park in Illinois: Pyramid State Recreation Area
