The South Carolina Republicans party has voted to censure Rep. Tom Rice for choosing to be one of the 10 GOP lawmakers to vote alongside Democrats to impeach Trump.

Drew McKissick, the chairman of the South Carolina GOP writes in a statement “trying to impeach a president, with a week left in his term, is never legitimate and is nothing more than a political kick on the way out the door.”

He adds “Congressman Rice’s vote unfortunately played right into the Democrats’ game, and the people in his district, and ultimately our State Executive Committee, wanted him to know they wholeheartedly disagree with his decision.”

Rice is now expected to face a primary challenge.

Rep. Liz Cheney, the 3rd ranked House Republican is also facing blowback for her impeachment vote.

Maybe, but there times when such tricks fail because the public is aroused and paying attention.

So what does that do? Can he no longer speak on the House Floor? In all seriousness, what does censoring really do?

This is good. Learned a few players interested in replacing this weasel. I want my wife to run against him too. He had the audacity to reach out to me as a rotary contact for support in a “town hall”. Fat chance. He’s never met with me or even the group It’s always a surrogate. He’s a DC guy.

“This is actually a big deal. It means state GOPs are getting behind Trump.”

I don’t think so. They’re just throwing a little fish to Deplorables — patting us on the head. If they truly were serious about getting behind Trump, they’d demand that the rep resign. That would make a statement that matters.

Hunt down and primary every single last one of the 10. If the primary challenge doesn’t work, sit out election day. Better to have a Democrat in that seat than one of them. We have to purge the RINO’s from the party before we can begin to take on the Democrats. Bagging all of them and some in the Senate as well as a couple Governors would send a clear message to the rest of the RINOs that they better not dare get out of line.

Nothing except maybe embarrass him.

Sounds like he won’t care.
