My point of view is that systems are tools. Good, bad is not a system thing.
Guns are tools. Law is a tool. Neither is inherently good. Depends on who is on the other end of it.
Our current government is corrupt and evil. The honest brokers are vastly outnumbered. This happens when there is lots of money and control in the pot.
Failed insttutions all around. It’s an inevitable circumstance.

My view is that our failed institutions have been afflicted by the foreign nations that we have ruled for almost a hundred years.
Of course they have naturally sought to influence our decision-making apparatus to protect themselves.

The GOPe and the RNC are too powerful. They’d destroy the

I think your view is wrong. The US is the powerhouse. It is not a victim, it is an abuser of foreigner and domestic alike.
Powerful people are nation-agnostic. Our government is nation-agnostic, other than in lip service. battle between Michigan and Indiana is same as battle between US and EU. All friends at the top.

have nothing but contempt for us, and yet some folks think

They know the presidency is out of reach. They know the
Senate will be. So what they are doing is playing a game
of keep the important guy sidetracked, until folks forget
