COVID-19 Vaccinations in the United States (as of Jan 25th 2021 at 06:00 AM ET)

In the 72 hours since the last report I posted:

Doses Distributed: About 1.5 million (Only about 500K/day. Lame! A sudden slowdown, even with a weekend)

Number of first doses: Right around a million per day.

Number of second doses: About 590K (200K/day - OK)

Doses administered in Nursing Homes: About 425K (About 140K/Day - OK, but slower).

The sudden slowdown in vaccine deliveries, far below the rate that they are being administered, is a troubling change from how things have been going, since deliveries started. The other stats were OK, but not improving.

The suddenly slower deliveries from the factories is a new concern to watch. Hopefully it is just an anomaly, and not the result of some radical change of policy, behind the scenes.

I recently talked with someone who works in a Nursing Home, they said that about 80% of their residents have been immunized - everyone that wanted it. Estimated that there were close to two staff members for every resident (double what I had estimated previously, with a less well informed SWAG).

Over 19 million people have gotten the COVID-19 vaccine in the US? But the conspiracy theory people told me it was poison that was going to kill you. That it was more deadly than the disease.

There must be bodies everywhere.
