We needed to do SOMETHING and soon, to find primary candidates. It has its risks that we all know, but the R Party is a proven Risk, as well.

I was one of those people. Boy, was I sadly mistaken. That was the start of my understanding of establishment republicans. It has only become more vividly clear in the past 4 years. I was still blind to it when W ran for office. I stuck with him thru 8 years. Defended his Iraq war. I still have no problem with invading Iraq. My only problem was it never ended and we didn't take out Iran.

These are discreet events, and Teddy and the Bull Moose Party will not be in play in 2022 and 2024.

I'm in. Till now, I always argued that 3rd parties like this would only take votes away from Republicans. But, given the way the Republican party has behaved recently, that's a moot point for me. I'm done voting for national Republicans based only on party. Most have proven that they're liberals without the courage/honesty to show their true colors. I'll vote for true small-government Republicans, but I'm no longer going to blindly give them my vote simply because of an "R" next to their name. If I'm going to get screwed over, what difference does it make if it's a Republican or a Democrat that does it? Just as minorities need to leave the Democratic plantation, conservatives need to leave the Republican plantation. Neither are what they claim to be.

Perhaps a new party can pull people from both sides who are sick of this crap. (Think "walkway movement" on steroids.) And if not, we'll just wind up in the hell as BOTH the DNC and RNC are leading us to.

Teddy wasn’t as popular as Trump, and didn’t have the election stolen from him like Trump. 30% of the opposition party didn’t vote for Teddy.

People really should study up on their history. Look at how well Teddy Roosevelt did with the Bull Moose Party and understand history will repeat itself if President Trump tries anything in 2024.

A spot on comment. A 3rd Party initiative is suicidal for conservatives. It will go nowhere in 2022 or 2024. Splitting the conservative is just a bad strategy.
