Has anyone considered the reason for the dogged push to impeach Trump is that if the truth is admitted, and the dems did steal the election, then Trump is actually still president? If he is still the prez, then that explains their eagerness to impeach him again.

I think the reason is because Roberts expects the impeachment to be challenged later, and when it gets to the Supreme Court, he would have to recuse himself if he had presided over it. He doesn’t want to lose his opportunity to vote against Trump when it would really count.

Yes I’ve thought the same. They hate Trump alright but they got more important things to do like their agenda to carry out and while they don’t want to see him run in 2024, they have the insurance policy of cheating again.
So what gives unless they FEAR that it’s possible that the fraud might be fully exposed and therefore they have to removed him (the real current president) before that happens?

Exactly. This is the Dems insurance policy in case Trump wins his election challenges. If he does prevail, then the corrupt CJ must actually show up to preside over the trial. Senators truly dislike impeachment trials because it interferes with them entertaining lobbyists and collecting money. Not having the CJ preside and having Ho Harris preside over a sham trial after a sham election, would mean having a second trial later.
