Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., is fighting efforts to convict President Trump in the Senate after he was impeached for a second time by the House of Representatives, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., should do the same, Graham told Fox News’ "Hannity" Tuesday.
"What we need right now is Sen. McConnell to unequivocally say the second impeachment of Donald Trump after he leaves office is not only unconstitutional, it is bad for the country," said Graham, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. "Stand up and fight back."
Graham praised McConnell for helping President Trump with "everything that he did" and referred to the majority leader as a legislative "street fighter."
The senator extended his call to all Republican members, emphasizing the alleged unconstitutionality of pursuing a conviction after Trump has left office.
"Our country needs to heal," he said. "A second impeachment of Donald Trump after he leaves office won’t heal the country, it will further divide the country.
"As to the Republican Party, if we throw in the towel, or are perceived to having thrown in the towel, and not fighting against this impeachment, the Republican Party, as Rand Paul said, will ‘crack up.’"

You have a good point there. But this is something the Republicans should have thought about. The state legislatures not doing their job before Dec 14. The GOP stabbing Trump in the back on Jan 6th, and now Trump being impeached for the 2nd time.
Talk about political suicide. It’s like they took a cyanide pill, shot themselves in the head and jumped off a cliff in one fell swoop. They want to make darn certain the party is over.
He did not run on another ticket in 2016, so he has kept all of that.
I wonder sometimes if we are insulting women. My sister-in-law is a Linda, and she bears no resemblance whatever to Linseed Graham. She has scruples, a sometimes hard life, and when she takes a stand, she really means it.
Nothing at all like Senator Graham, who has an agenda, and might hold off on it for a time, but grabs any opportunity to forward it, and it usually is based on his bottom line.
But what’s meant is that he doesn’t have the bait and tackle that a man does, symbolically speaking, meaning the moral courage and backbone that a man should have.
This one is worse. Maybe they’ll make a gay manage-a-tois.
Reminds me of a slightly racist Indian joke. Indian wants to become Jewish. He goes to a mohel (Jewish ritual circumciser) and he offers to do the job for $100. Indian says “Ugh. Too much.” So he goes to a butcher, who offers to do it for $10. He puts his manliness on the chopping block, butcher takes a swing with his cleaver, and the Indian says, “Ugh. Too much!”
Dumb joke, but it illustrates your point.
Sure, Lindsey is a relatively young guy compaired to Mitch.. Mitch is retiring and will probably move to China.. But Lindsey thinks he has at least two more terms to go..
No controlling legal authority... :)

I unfortunately do not the possibility of a political solution working within this corrupt system. Elections likely won’t cut it. We tried that with Trump. He was one of the best politicians and leaders this nation has ever seen, and look what happened.
Someone needs to slap Pansy Graham and expose his blackmail file. I am sick of that queer’s blather.
