As with all CIA operations, there are layers of deniability, but here's my general take on JFK's assasination, given the available facts. The CIA was livid with Kennedy over the bay of pigs, and Kennedy's last minute withholding of air cover for the CIA's invasion.

The outfit (the Chicago mob) was also livid with Kennedy for their having stolen the election for him, and his brother's (RFK) obsession with bringing them down. So, those are the motives, as near as I can tell, and the two organizations cooperated in doing the deed.

First, we know that Lee Harvey Oswald lived in Russia for a period of time, and was a crack shot. He was "radicalized" while in the USSR, and travelled the US handing out communist propaganda pamphlets. The CIA cut some kind of deal with him, and provided him with the intel of where to be, and at what time. I don't discount the fact that there was a second shooter, to make sure the job got done, it's just that the evidence for the second shooter is murky, at best.

So, fast forward, to when Lee Harvey Oswald was on his way to Court, "guarded" by the local cops, and federal marshalls. Along comes a guy, long associated with the Chicago outfit, afflicted with terminal stomach cancer, and offs Oswald. He is captured, gun in hand, and taken to prison. He said he acted alone, out a patriotic duty, and never implicated anyone but himself.

It is more likely his actions, and silence, were somehow purchased by the Outfit/CIA by promises made to ensure his family was taken care of. We will never know with certainty, who and what was behind the Kennedy hit, but that is the hallmark of the deep state. There are many layers, as with an onion, of plausible deniability.

I think the evidence against Oswald is as convincing as the evidence against O.J. Simpson. In the one case, the Communist did it; in the other, the estranged husband. Why dream up unlikely scenarios when the obvious ones are right in front of us.

I don't doubt that there were a few mistakes in Gerald Posner's Case Closed, but I was convinced that Oswald did it -- for the obvious reason, because he was a radical Communist.

Actually, Oswald barely qualified with open sights in Marine basic training. He was a known crackpot that was easily rattled, perfect for the patsy.

I went to Dallas in '64 with my high school band. Got a good look at how close in the area really is.

From the other corner window anybody good with a handgun could have shot the President at that range with pistol as they stopped to make the turn. And, of course the limo at that window was coming right at you... plus it had to make a dead stop right under the window.

Anyhow, to get a patsy, I think the kill shot was taken from a second story window in the adjacent building by a true sharpshooter.
