[Insiders, however, claim the layoffs is part of a move to align the digital operations with the right-wing opinions of its broadcasting shows.

‘There is a concerted effort to get rid of real journalists,’ a former staffer told the Daily Beast.

‘They laid capable people off who were actual journalists and not blind followers.’

Another said: ‘It’s essentially the final nail in the coffin for digital journalism at Fox.’

Meanwhile, one former staffer blamed the ‘purge’ entirely on Berry, saying he is threatened by experienced digital editors given his background is in broadcast.

The country already has no shortage of lefty and far-left news coverage. It’s time Fox took its place as the home of mainstream right-wing news, rather than attempt to pander to the left. Donna Brazile, Chris Wallace and so on should be fired immediately. Until these things happen, look for right-wing Fox viewers to drift away in the direction of OAN and Newsmax. By delaying these moves, Murdoch is flushing decades of investment in Fox News down the drain.
