Yes, but do go into that machine every day for 90 minutes for 60 days? Aside from the cost, I don’t know. In other words you do this evety single day?
I am sure it might work
I think these units run in the tens of thousands. You have to have someone monitor you.
Anything can cause a fire. Imagine you’re in the unit, and there’s a fire? This happens, esp at these places where the guy has bought the unit, then sticks you in it, and he takes off, and comes back 90 minutes later.
I’ve used these for our wound care patients.
We’ve had some people in there for 45-60 days for various reasons. I’ve asked these people if they have more energy, feel, better over all. Have you noticed your skin softer, etc.
No one has said it makes a difference.
Don’t get me wrong, I think it would work, but it would cost prohibitive except for multi millionaires.
The chamber in the picture at the original article shows a normal air pressurization unit with the patients breathing oxygen thru masks. In this type of HBOT the risk of fire is greatly reduced. The pressurization is probably less than 2 ATMA (about 30 PSIA). O2 poisoning could be a problem at higher pressures.
HBOT has also been tried as therapy for people with TBI and PTSD with some positive results.
