What was misleading about the the Biden townhalls was that they were scripted and only select individuals were able to attend. This does not mean that Biden had more support than Trump it just means that Biden scripted all of his events, including those in attendance and those who asked questions and what questions they asked. Trump still won by a landslide. What Trump supporters were deceived by was the perception Biden had low turnout. It was a tactic used by the left to suppress the urge to vote by the right. The right thinking that the left does not have the momentum nor mass support Trump did would prevent some on the right to not show up thinking that Trump had the election in the bag. Perception by deception is what happened.
Biden didn't script anything, it was scripted for him. He was scripted whenever it was possible to get him to say whatever they intended for him to say.
Honestly, the whole COVID scheme was a multifaceted approach to getting rid of President Trump. It destroyed the economy, taking the biggest campaign issue out of consideration. It allowed for a candidate to not campaign at all, which made it possible to create a complete illusion. It allowed for safety concerns to make the wholesale scrapping of campaign rules possible. It made everybody fearful so that they changed their behaviors to decrease the human interaction like family gatherings and workplace conversations that affect the way people think.
