How many people President Trump appointed that did not betray him would be a better question.
I don’t recall any backstabbing out of Sarah Huckabee-Sanders either.
Trump let himself be used by God to expose the snake(s). Would he prefer it to work out well and smoothly all the time, sure, but he didn’t have it all smooth and easy in his many businesses through all the decades, so I think he was ready for some rough roads.
I like Ben Carson. He is too nice and too smart for DC.

There is a lesson there if we ever have another free and fair election. It would be nice if we made sure that the next conservative administration had ZERO insiders - none.
I see lots of people on FR regularly questioning his SCOTUS appointments.

If she resigned because her time was done, there would have been no need to add her criticism of the Capitol incident, would there? She has been incompetent. She should have dismantled most of the DoE from the jump, and headed off the 1619 Project at the pass with the introduction of something llike the 1776 Project from the Day One, as well as a requirement for incoming Senators and Congresspersons to pass a basic Constitutional literacy test, with Continuiing Constitutional Competency updates every two years thereafter.

Had it occurred to you that among the people with the relevant education and experience to work for the U.S. President in DC, these actually were the best available? The well has been poisoned since the Wilson Administration.
That was his biggest weakness IMO. absolutely abysmal HR decisions.
Not at the time the appointment the made. I went back and checked those old threads myself (re-reading the posts commented at the time Gorsuch & Kavanaugh were announced, and when the Senate confirmed them) and my memories didn't fail me.
95% of the FReepers were THRILLED with the appointment of Gorsuch and Barrett (and probably 85% with Kavanaugh), and immediately accepted it as gospel truth that they were clones of Scalia. The TINY minority of us who questioned how "good" those appointments were scorned at and shouted down on here, accused of being bitter nasty NeverTrumpers for not drinking the "Gorsuch is Scalia 2.0., God bless PDJT for appointing him and keeping his campaign pledge to give us a solid pro-life originalist" kool-aid.
"Questioning" his appointments LONG AFTER the damage has been done and we're stuck with them on SCOTUS for decades will accomplish nothing.
He was not nominated because he would never have gotten confirmed.
