No doubt this is an effort of the Uniparty establishment. The leadership of both sides of the Uniparty want Trump gone and destroyed. Trump is not, and never has been, one of them.
Mitch is in no way threatened by loss of a majority. It takes 60 to break a Senate filibuster and he still has ten votes to sell.
