On the other hand I am still expecting far worse reactions after the 2nd dose... time will soon tell
America’s death count is in 2020 is virtually the same as previous years. Let’s see if 2021 is similar. My guess is that it will be much worse than 2020.
Two weeks ago, a friend with a heredity blood clotting abnormality called Factor V Leiden (FVL) received a vaccine shot and became rather sick afterwards. I worry that they will get even sicker with the 2nd shot, and they are in their thirties. It then occurred to me that blacks also have a blood abnormality called Sickle Cell Disease. In both cases a person can get a gene from one parent and often does not even know they have it. Rarely, a person get get a gene from both parents. Especially with SCD, there is often a lot of illness with 2 genes. The FVL incidence can range from 3% to 8% of people with European (white) heritage. The SCD incidence can be up to 1/5%. Since many “black” people have a certain percentage of “white” genes, they can have both types of genes. The links below give more details.

Many people with only one gene of these blood disorders do not even know they have it. If you suspect you or a loved one might, then talk with your doctor and see about testing for the gene(s). I suspect that those who have died unexpectedly should have their genetics tested, and also see if venous or arterial thrombosis may have been a killing factor. These conditions are more likely to occur in the veins than arteries, and especially in the smaller veins which can be blocked by even a small clot. A lot of the post Covid long term illness seems to be clotting related. Maybe people with those symptoms should check their genes. Specifically taking Vitamins of the C complex family and Vitamin D3 may be helpful.
