Why should we all honor contracts which were not filled out in good faith and which were subsequently broken? For that is what a college loan is, a contract. By forgiving college loans, we are teaching people to discard and walk away from responsibilities-—and from what I’ve seen, the younger generation does not need any further “instruction” in doing just that. Furthermore, any business considering financing a company looking for a loan would naturally request a business plan to look over. We, who subsidize college loans, do not get any such opportunity. So if the loan recipient chooses to major in a largely unemployable field, such as gender studies, social justice studies, etc., and subsequently cannot obtain meaningful employment in said field, is that our fault? By subsidizing student loans, we’re buying a pig in a poke in the first place, and to then have the responsible party being able to simply walk away from their obligation, leaving the tab for us to pay, is simply ludicrous. Just another way for the Dimmicommies to bring us down in bankruptcy, and they’re doing their best to do just that.

I believe this is all a moot point. When the Demoncrats have full power the value of our currency will drop down to Venezuela standards. Get ready to lose all of your treasure...

I paid for my son’s Associate’s degree. He knew his Bachelor’s and law school were on him.

He found a great school for his BA, got an academic scholarship, but still needed funding for food, housing, and tuition.

We were going to have to co-sign on a loan for $34K for the next 2 years.

It broke my heart to tell him we could not. He switched to a local campus so our share after the scholarship is just $1,500 a semester.

Sorry, I don’t have compassion for people who major in underwater basket weaving or lesbian dance theory. I don’t want to be on the hook for someone else’s kids. I have 3 of my own.
