The troops aren't there for Biden's inauguration. He won't be inaugurated.
Trump is in command of these troops, not Biden. Trump will invoke the Insurrection Act, declare martial law and start to roundup and arrest the co-conspirators of the failed coup attempt against the President and the US government. The NG troops will assist in that operation.
Trump will be president for another four years.

More likely, the NG troops will keep Antifa and BLM out, the conspirators in, and the special ops forces will manage the arrests.
