No, they aren’t that big. I was surprised to find out how long they’ve been a band, though, since 1984.
I remember Tim Owens, who replaced Rob Halford in Judas Priest briefly, was in that band for maybe five years when Halford went back to Priest.
I saw that on the news years ago. Tim Owens was a cubicle farm worker who played in a Judas Priest cover band. So when Halford left, and the band held auditions, Owens participated and won the slot of lead singer. His stage name was Ripper Owens, said first name being in honor of a Judas Priest song, IIRC.
They are not Judas Priest big. But they are not just local. I heard about them years ago from Eddie Trunk.
