A good way to eliminate the competition. False accusations.
What is up with you?
Yes, I shouldn’t be such a mouth but I’m angry this year. Ive had it with the communists and their final take-over. They worry about words, but not actions. They’re more worried about what someone says and THINKS than how many buildings they destroyed.
You are being purged, falling in for this. It will visit you.
You’re like the “well if you’re not guilty, you have nothing to fear” from government exams and so on.
It’s been happening in nasty divorces for decades.
What’s new?
In my opinion, there is nothing moral in the designation of realtur. I’ve been around enough of them in social settings (for decades) to come to the conclusion that has a whole, they have the highest percentage of immoral reprobate behavior of any profession to which I have been exposed.
Oh wait...was that hateful? :)
I think you missed the point.
But good luck with your ‘anger’. I don’t doubt that it will serve you....well.
I’ve only personally encountered one realtor in my lifetime; and she seemed to be a very good, upright lady. I’ve saved her name.
I’ve pretty much at the point where I just don’t talk politics to anyone I don’t know, and if they do, I will just cut them off and tell them, “I don’t talk about politics.”
Good judgment.
I come from a family riddled with West Point colonels, other military people, and many civil servants.
From the time I could understand language, I was told that it was a very bad idea to talk politics or religion in the workplace or among co-workers. Basically, my husband and I only discuss these issues with immediate family members and people we’ve known so long that they amount to the same.
I think it’s a very good idea - at least, it’s served me well.
Sorry to hear this. I am a realtor and take a lot of pride in my work. Sadly tho, the industry is loaded with unscrupulous actors...many of them operate like used car salesmen. This change by NAR to allow anyone in the public to file a complaint for any reason whatsoever, will result in nasty litigation for NAR. They deserve it.
YOU missed the point.
You keep saying we have nothing to fear if we’re all good and perfect. All the time? Privately with even your spouse?
That is the point. Is a word or 2 worthy of jail, or even a job?
I would not say that. My mom was a realtor for a few years, and we all had good relations with many of them in her office. We still have used one of her old comrades.
Of course, my mom stated that she absolutely loved this particular local realtor group. Actually they were started by her lifelong best pal’s family. But she did not start there. She said she did not like the dealings going on in the other 2 groups she was with first.
I don’t recall ever saying that we ‘have nothing to fear’.
I’ve just been suggesting that we should be very careful.
You still don’t get it. You’re too busy imagining all the bad things that could come to pass, instead of figuring out strategies to avoid them.
I’m well aware of how to avoid. But I’m Getting sick of having to go underground and be scared to death of everything.
Don’t be scared. That’s certain death.
Going ‘underground’ is just a useful stop-gap measure.
Can we watch “Blazing Saddles”?
‘ I only had time to scan each page; but what exactly did you find offensive in it?
Why would any realtor who wants to earn his/her commission commit ‘hate speech’ or fail to present themselves and their credentials properly, under the terms of this document?‘
I would commit hate speech if I was telling the truth. That’s a first amendment right . And NAR is not an exempt organization like a country club, it has too many members. This rule is illegal and they will be sued and NAR will lose. If I say women are bad at football you have to get over it. Also white men can’t jump. Protected speech, sorry.
You got it, as an agent myself for 7 years, many many many moons ago, and a landlord I learned that everyone is green$$$.
Your fiancé should understand this is not about brainwashing or controlling people; it is about companies who wish to defend themselves better in court when an unassimilated former employee tries to sue them alleging bias/racism. The company shows they tried the standard programming for employees, hoping to put any financial impact on the alleged offender instead of the larger corporation (which is always targeted first due to its deeper pockets).
I’m just surprised it wasn’t mandatory; weakens that defense.
How do they think they can enforce that???
