Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought the violence started while the speeches were still going on half a mile away, perhaps even before Trump spoke, and that most of the people at the rally were unaware of it till after it was over.

I think the plan was to start the attack on the Capital when Trump speech should have ended but Anti-farts didn’t realize that his was running really late.
