“Pshaw, funny how now companies don’t train anyone to actually do their jobs anymore, they just expect you to hit the ground running.”
I’ve noticed that. A long time ago, employers would invest a lot in your education, with the expectation that they get a better, possibly loyal employee. That kind of training has all but vaporized.
But, where I work, there is annual mandatory training. In that training program is a fair amount of indoctrination. I expect that to ramp up. Fortunately for me, I’ll be retiring this year.
I’ve also noticed that employers, when behind on some aspect of their business, will advertise a permanent job but as soon as the backlog of whatever it is has been taken care of, they let you go. In that instance, they are posting fraudulent permanent job postings for what is actually temporary gig-type jobs.
