I think you are right. Elsewhere on FR today is a thread showing purported posters calling for armed marches on DC and the fifty state capitols on January 17th. These posters are clearly fabricated provocations complete with the Statue of Liberty holding the torch in the left hand. All MAGA patriots should stay far away from these so called marches.

IF I Were A Conspiracy Theorist...
IF I were a conspiracy theorist, I’d first consider the following facts:
- Trump installed major loyalists at the top of the DoD; they haven’t quit.
- Pompeo and Ratcliffe both haven’t quit either and haven’t disparaged the president.
- Trump supporters are NOT violent by nature.
- Trump loves the nation.
- Trump has tweeted “treason” over twenty times in his four years.
- Trump has acknowledged that America will be owned by China if Biden wins.
- Sidney Powell recommended giving all evidence to Military Intelligence.
- Capitol police allowed the protesters to enter the Capitol.
- Evidence of corruption in the Biden administration is circulating: Hunter Biden/pedophilia, Joe Biden/China/Ukraine…etc
- Evidence of a stolen election by congress with the aid of foreign powers is circulating.
- 12000 troops have been allocated to DC to “guard” against more Trump supporter insurrection.
- The FBI stated that “riots are being organized at all 50 state capitols”.
Then, I would come up with the craziest theory as to how the Trump administration and it’s law enforcement Executive branch would save the Republic from the undeniable, intentional destruction the Biden administration is planning for it:
The Trump administration along with the loyalists at the DoD, State Department and DNI, created a plan to bolster a military presence around the country under the guise of “protecting the nation from Trump supporters”: The escorting of Trump supporters into the Capitol by Capitol police was mandated by Trump’s DoD via whitehat congressional moles in order to justify staging National Guard troops around the country in preparation for the ultimate plan: dismantle the Biden administration and its traitors.
The DoD only needed to have troops around the country to protect against ANY insurrection - it doesn’t matter who does it: Trump supporters, BLM, Antifa - whatever; they will be prepared.
IF the Biden administration is dismantled, socialist antifa liberals will undoubtedly attempt to riot, burn down cities and absolutely murder Trump supporters - the Guard (and the Marines who support them) will be ready. It’s the ultimate switcharoo.
But since I’m not a conspiracy theorist, I probably wouldn’t think all that.
So I guess this is 3 pm Eastern Standard Time. Is it only on video, or will it also be on some network or cable outlet?

Thanks for letting me know. I missed some of the first minutes of Trump’s speaking, so I don’t know if any recent history was mentioned. What I heard was all about the border and immigration issue. Also on opinion of Hispanic legal residents in border areas. Apparently video sponsored by Epoch Times newspaper. That paper used to be available free in downtown DC newspaper boxes. That stopped over a year ago, so now only available by subscription so far as I know.

When FReepers mock Q followers I don’t think it is sarcasm - it’s dead serious. I think a lot of FReepers have had it up to here with the Q nonsense. I know I have.
In the last two months, conservatives took a horrible beating
- the Democrats stole an election from us in broad daylight - and we didn’t even get our day in court. They are laughing about it.
- the Left is silencing all conservative voices - blatant censorship - again in broad daylight. Even the President of the United States has been silenced - and no one can do anything about it.
- they want to remove him with 8 days left - just to try and humiliate us and flex their muscles.
Think about that: the President of the United States - supposedly the most powerful man in the free world - powerless to stop cheaters and liars from overthrowing his Presidency.
It’s well past the time to get serious here - assess the damage - see who is really on our side and what we really have left in our arsenal.
We need to put aside childish games and myths - and I’m sorry, but that is exactly what Q is.
Look at what is happening. Does it look like there are White Hats who have things under control? Does it look like there is a Plan?
Conservatives need to stop wasting everyone’s time pretending to decode secret messages and imagining there is a secret alliance about to come to our rescue - that is a distraction - and it makes serious conservatives look foolish by association.

As I mentioned previously, I thought that President Trump was probably consulting military leaders to see if he had any support to invoke the Insurrection Act.
Reading between the lines, it would appear that he has very little such support and would be isolated if he tried to take that step, as justified as it may be.
What we’ve learned then is that probably 90% of senior military and Washington politicians, and almost all of the courts, are willing to accept the results of the election either despite cheating or because they (mistakenly) think there was no significant cheating.
And what that means is we are facing a socialist dictatorship. What’s left of the Republican Party will turn into a sort of extension of the ruling one party state as a kind of faction within the politburo sort of a deal, and they will try to shed any mavericks or lone wolves who won’t go along with that approach. The courts will pretend none of this ever happened and will go back to activist lawfare, with people we thought were rock solid conservatives probably losing their edge like CJ Roberts has done. One or two may remain holdouts but they won’t prevail on important questions.
There may be limits to what this incoming regime could do before the military refused to play along. There will be testing of limits and boundaries in the next two to four years. The GOP will look for another patsy candidate like Romney (hey, why not just recycle the dude?) and will continue to ignore the base who will quickly flock to any new party or candidate promising what Trump promised.
Whether that’s Trump or somebody else, next time I suggest the base get everything in writing — this is what we want, this is what we expect, and it must include indictments of powerful corrupted politicians and their enablers.
I don’t blame Trump, but I think his approach was just to overcome all this by superior governance that anyone could see was better, and it would wither away without the need for justice to prevail. That clearly isn’t going to be the way this ends. Those who have lived off the avails of corrupt practices must pay the price if the Republic is to be restored to any sort of credible stature. There can no longer be a system of one set of rules for ordinary folks and a different set of rules for elites.
The only way to get to that, in my view, is for 120 million voters to support it at the earliest opportunity. It needs to become too big to fail, too big to sabotage through fraud. There has to be a widespread sense that this is the public will, to hold politicians and other elites accountable.
Since that is in some ways just as much a “left” as a “right” principle, it should be possible. Trump may still be the guy to pull this off, or possibly his son, but all should be on the lookout for any other suitable leadership candidate(s), try to outwit the socialists as much as possible 2021-24 and hit them hard with this alternative in 2024. The one thing that would be going right in these next four years would be that widespread corruption should be fairly evident to many people and should drive more into the camp of the saints, so to speak.
Trump is all alone.
