God, this is depressing.
Stupidly, stupidly depressing.
It certainly is. My 54 year old son called me tonight, and we never talk politics, but when he asked me how I was, I told him I felt like I was living behind The Iron Curtain. He said "Okay," nothing more. I mentioned the purging of Twitter, and he said: "Good," it's about time they got rid of some of those people." Needless to say the conversation went downhill from there. He doesn't have cable, so I can't blame his attitude on CNN or any other network, and he certainly didn't get his political views from me. Forget his father, because the man hasn't been in my kid's life for at least 40 years. He could be alive or dead for all we know. I have the same problem with my youngest son. Thankfully he lives in Indiana, and I only see him once or twice a year. He watches CNN, but when I'm there, he only watches it first thing in the morning, so I'm usually still sleeping at that time. It just blows my mind that they are stuck on stupid.
