Well, yes, troops are always involved in the inauguration.

I was very fortunate to be involved in the 1984 Ronald Reagan 2nd inauguration. Unfortunately, they canceled all the outdoor events due to extreme cold and winter weather, so we didn’t have anything to do (I was supposed to lead a sector of uniformed personnel to man a part of the parade route).

I’ve heard that because of Covid, Biden is having a TV inauguration only, no outdoor swearing in or big crowds.

So... Why all the troops?

Why all the troops?

Because as of midnight last night the military is in control of the government.

Yeah but were 6000-7000 troops going to be in DC in 1984?

I am sure Bitem will not even be having a TV swearing in ceremony unless Trump allows that to happen so
he and others can be charged for even more crimes, right before being arrested.
