Andrew McCarthy: Trump has committed an impeachable offense
Fox News ^ | Jan 10, 2021 | By Andrew McCarthy | National Review

I took a beating on Twitter Thursday night for making what I thought was a commonsense observation that President Trump should be negotiating favorable terms for resignation "if there are 20 GOP senators who’d vote to impeach."

In our current climate, this was taken as a call for Trump’s impeachment. But it wasn’t a value judgment. It was a mathematical calculation.

As it happens, I do think the president has committed an impeachable offense, making a reckless speech that incited a throng on the mall, which foreseeably included an insurrectionist mob.

These rioters ended up overwhelming security forces and storming the Capitol. They shut down a solemn constitutional proceeding, endangering the lives of the vice president and the people’s representatives. They ripped through the facility, causing not only significant property damage but grave injuries.

Most of the names on that cover never bother me, with one exception - Thomsas Sowell. How it stings to see one of the greatest American thinkers on that list. The rest are merely bacteria on fleas in the scheme of things.

One of many RINO pr#cks that if I ever see on a staff of a candidate or comment s would be a candidate I’d wouldn’t vote for. (No I haven’t torn up my voter id card... yet)

Here's Trump's reckless speech, Andy:

https://www.rev.com/blog/transcripts/donald-trump-speech-save-america-rally-transcript-january-6

You doubtless believe that this sentence was especially reckless:

I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.

You're just another lying, Trump hating, National Review snob.

Say Andy, how many days after your pal Robert Mueller began his Russiagate investigation did he learn that there was no evidence against Trump? Did he figure that out within the first week? And how long did he take to announce that to the American public?

"if there are 20 GOP senators who’d vote to impeach."

So this is a top pundit that doesn't know that the House impeachment is just an indictment and then sent on to the Senate for trial? The Senate doesn't impeach! I swear these so-called Journalists are getting more stupid by the day.

I know more about US Code and the Constitution than most of these idiots who are college grads. Sheesh, what stops them from Googling? Or Wikipedia? Or other resources. This is why they are the laughingstock of their profession.

Yeah, I know, it's all about repeating talking points because they're too lazy to do research.

“Andrew McCarthy is dead to me”

No idea how National Review pays the bills, maybe lefty donors since their mission was to destroy Trump from day one? Well if Trump does leave office in 10 ten days there is no longer a reason to fund that Coven of traders.

As for McCarthy, stay off Fox news, that would be the only place you would see that POS.

McCarthy’s always been a fraud.

Where was he when Kamala and Pelosi were urging the cities be burned down and paying the Bail of Criminals to get their soldiers back on the streets with Gasoline?

Andrew McCarthy was once a pretty solid, level-headed conservative whose viewpoints and commentary were often pointed to by Rush Limbaugh.

I started to see McCarthy cracking when the first impeachment, BS phone call, stuff started to happen.

This does not shock me in anyway. There’s a lot of genuinely scared folks out there.

I can literally see the fear in the eyes of some of the republican talking heads lately. I was watching Maria B this morning and Rubio looked nervous....even scared. Victor Hansen (sp?) was on with Hegseth on Saturday morning and he also sounded scared and nervous, in fact at the end of the segment, the last question they asked him was something to the effect of what happens now. He was at a loss how to answer it but the last words out of his mouth were something about armageddon.

I’m seeing and hearing the fear...a lot of folks need to grow a set.

The average person on the street scores higher on civic tests than the average congressperson.

When did Senators begin the Impeachment process?

Anyway, President Trump has done nothing Impeachable.

The news media and Dominion computer group seem to bear more responsibility for incurring the wrath of the American voter.
Without paper ballots and Voter ID, the American voter is at the mercy of some very unscrupulous people as the Nov. elections demonstrate. With thousands of signed affidavits swearing to fraudulent activities at polling stations, President Trump did not have a chance.

Damage?? In the pictures from Leftwing media I see mostly broken glass and some broken doors.

There were papers on the floor in one office which would normally take about an hour for anyone else to clean up....but this is government so it will probably take about a week and $100,000.

And this is comical that cnn aka chinese news network, is calling this damage....

cnn embarrasses itself with this kind of "reporting".
