Thanks for that info about the EBS; I read a rumour about a tech company doing an update that would disable it.
I replied to the post that the company would run afoul of the FCC if it tried that.

Just as a note: Having worked in telecommunications for forty years, I feel the need to tell everyone that when Elvis died, all of the telephone network crashed all over the country with the immediate demand of phone subscribers trying to call everyone they knew. If this happens to go the way it is suggested, fast busy trunk signals on voice calls, or reorders, crashed phone switches, timeouts to dead air, etc. will happen, in addition to some network paths intentionally removed from service. Forget about email and data connections too. Keep cool and "Don't Panic" as the Hitchhikers Guide indicates.
