Of course Mitch has to lay out the trial rules - he is still Majority Leader. But the second the Fraud is inaugurated, the case becomes MOOT. Make a motion to the Chief Justice to dismiss, or simply dismiss on a voice vote.
And whatever the outcome of that vote, its legally a nullity.
Trump's not going to run again anyway. And that may turn out to bite the 'Rats on the ass in 2024. If the economy has tanked, and they can't motivate their voters by running the "orange Hitler" meme again, the GOP might actually have a chance.
Except for the Blue state fraud system. The GOP needs to take back some Governorships and Sec'y of State offices.

That’s how I read it as well. People are wired these days and aren’t being careful of reading what’s written...
[Trump’s not going to run again anyway.]
Yep. Jeb or Rubio would be good choices. If one of them had won in 2016, none of the current unpleasantness would have happened.
But in all seriousness, I don't view GOP having a chance as a postitive thing. Different from DEMs? sure. Quite different. Ask me if I care.
Well stated. The states with GOP majority that had all the issues in this election (Penn, Wisconsin, etc.) had stated make their first priority cleaning up their election processes and fast. See what Desantis did in FLA. Zero shenanigans, no Miami -Dade and Broward County foolishness.
