I remember Obama did attend Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2017 because the press made a point of showing Obama’s reaction to Trump’s speech. It’s best if Trump doesn’t show up. A lot of people believe cheating did occur and Trump shouldn’t validate Biden’s “victory” by attending the inauguration.
